Last Thursday we held a Hero Arts Stamping Evening here at the shop! It was a fun night for all playing with some of the gorgeous new release of Hero Arts rubber and clear stamps.
On the night we made two cards, one scrapbook page plus a make 'n' take stamping loot bag. Here are some of the ladies that attended.
And here is one of the displays with some of the new wooden rubber mounted stamps:
We were featuring hot embossing and colouring with an aqua pen and colouring pencils. We also used the speech bubble sentiment stamps that everybody received on the evening.
This first one is what we made on the night also using the new Hero Arts large shadow ink pads for the scalloped stamp. I have actually used the reverse stamp on this sample with embossing powder, we got a nicer effect with the shadow ink.
Its a bit hard to see here but the background was also embossing using the cuttlebug.
Here are my other two examples I made up showing more of the stamps. This first one was using an idea I found online.
I quite often prefer to make square cards so thats what I decided for this one:
Here is Nickie's card and loot bag that she made for the night. All of the customers that attended made these. Instead of adding buttons we threw in some smartie lollies. I think these loot bags are super cute and great for kids birthday parties.
Nickie used the Hero Arts Crown stamp on this card and cut out the scalloped circles using the nestabilities.
Lastly here is the layout that Lianne made up for the night. Everybody made a page to take home using the scallop border stamps plus a background stamp and speech bubble set. Also provided was a cut out title and printed quote.
